Disclaimer

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Please read this page carefully before you use the screening or send us anything. It explains what Medicaid In A Minute is, what it is not, and — importantly — that using it does not make anyone your attorney and does not make what you send us privileged.

1. This is not legal advice

Everything on this website, including the screening questions, the results it produces, and any educational material, is general information. It is not legal advice, and it is not tax, financial, accounting, insurance, or medical advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows the specific facts of your situation.

Medicaid rules are detailed, they change, and small differences in facts produce different outcomes. Do not act — or decide not to act — based solely on what this website tells you.

2. No attorney-client relationship

Using this website does not create an attorney-client relationship. Completing the screening, receiving your results, emailing us, uploading documents, or speaking with anyone at Senior Care Resources does not make any attorney your attorney.

An attorney-client relationship with Zacharia Frey PLLC — or with any other firm or lawyer — is created only by a written engagement agreement signed by you and the firm, after the firm has checked for conflicts of interest and agreed to represent you. Until that happens, no lawyer is representing you, no lawyer is monitoring your deadlines, and no lawyer is responsible for your matter.

Senior Care Resources LLC is not a law firm. Its case managers are not attorneys and do not give legal advice. They are trained to recognize when a situation may need legal attention and to tell you to seek it.

3. No attorney-client privilege or confidentiality

Information you submit through this website is not protected by the attorney-client privilege. Because no attorney-client relationship exists, the privilege does not attach — and neither does the duty of confidentiality that a lawyer owes a client.

We treat what you send us with care and handle it as described in our Privacy Policy. That is a privacy commitment, not a legal privilege. Material submitted here could, in some circumstances, be discoverable in a legal proceeding.

For that reason, please do not send confidential, sensitive, or time-sensitive information through this website, by email, or through the question form expecting it to be privileged, and do not send anything about a matter for which you want privileged legal advice until you have a signed engagement agreement with a law firm. If a deadline is approaching, contact a lawyer directly rather than relying on this site.

Sending us information also does not obligate any attorney or firm to accept your matter, and nothing you send creates a duty to respond.

4. This is not an official Medicaid determination

Medicaid In A Minute is a preliminary screening tool. It is not an application for Medicaid, and its results are not an eligibility determination.

Only the responsible government agency can determine whether someone is eligible for Medicaid. In Florida that decision is made by the Department of Children and Families and related agencies, based on a filed application, verified documentation, and the law as applied by that agency.

Medicaid In A Minute is not a government website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the State of Florida, the Florida Department of Children and Families, the Agency for Health Care Administration, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Social Security Administration, or any other government agency.

5. No guarantee of any outcome

We do not promise, guarantee, or predict that anyone will be approved for Medicaid, approved by a particular date, or able to protect any particular asset. Nothing on this site should be read as a guarantee of approval, of a benefit amount, of a timeline, or of a result.

Not every eligibility problem can be fixed. Some situations have options; some do not. Identifying an issue early tells you what you are dealing with — it does not mean the issue can be solved.

Any description of past work or experience is provided as background only. Prior results do not guarantee or suggest a similar outcome in any other matter.

6. Results depend entirely on what you enter

The screening analyzes only the information you provide. It does not verify your answers against bank records, agency files, deeds, or any other source. If an answer is missing, approximate, mislabeled, or wrong, the results will be wrong too.

A preliminary screening also cannot see everything. It may not identify every issue in a given situation, and something it does not flag is not thereby confirmed to be fine.

7. Rules change, and this site may not

Medicaid law, agency policy, income and asset limits, and administrative practice change over time, and they differ between states. Information on this site may become out of date, and we have no obligation to update it. This screening is designed for Florida nursing-home Medicaid and should not be relied on for any other state or program.

8. Separate organizations, separate services

Three distinct organizations appear on this site, and what each does is separate:

  • Medicaid In A Minute — the preliminary screening described here, provided by Senior Care Resources LLC.
  • Senior Care Resources — Medicaid application preparation and management. Not legal services, and engaged under its own service agreement.
  • Zacharia Frey PLLC — an elder law firm that provides legal services only under its own signed engagement agreement.

Completing the screening does not engage any of these services, and it does not create an attorney-client relationship with Zacharia Frey PLLC.

9. Third-party content and links

This site links to government and other third-party websites for convenience. We do not control that content and are not responsible for its accuracy or availability. A link is not an endorsement.

10. Attorney advertising notice

This website describes an elder law attorney and an affiliated law firm. In some jurisdictions, material of this kind may be considered attorney advertising. The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely on advertisements.

11. Limitation of liability

Your use of this website and the screening is at your own risk, and is subject to the disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability in our Terms of Use.

12. Questions

If anything here is unclear, ask us before you rely on the screening.
